1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Whatsinthebox, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Use of the Service

Whatsinthebox is provided for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to misuse the service, upload illegal content, or attempt to reverse-engineer any part of the application.

3. Accounts & Authentication

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. By creating an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials confidential.

4. In-App Purchases

Whatsinthebox offers the following one-time, non-consumable in-app purchases:

  • Quick Pack (Free): Up to 5 boxes.
  • Apartment Pass ($4.99): Up to 50 boxes.
  • The Big Move ($9.99): Up to 200 boxes.

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies. Purchases are non-consumable and persist across devices when signed in with the same Apple ID.

5. AI-Generated Content

Whatsinthebox uses Claude AI by Anthropic to analyze photos and generate item tags. AI-generated labels are provided as a convenience and may not be 100% accurate. You may edit, add, or remove tags at any time. Whatsinthebox is not liable for losses resulting from incorrect AI identifications.

6. Intellectual Property

All app content, branding, and design are owned by Whatsinthebox. User-uploaded photos remain the property of the user.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or the accuracy of AI-generated content.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Whatsinthebox shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
